The library is an arena of possibility, opening both a window into the soul and a door onto the world.

About the RRPL Foundation

  • History.

In 1968, the Rocky River Public Library Foundation was established by future-focused individuals who understood that an outstanding library cannot be maintained through public funds alone. The Foundation was incorporated as a nonprofit, tax exempt 501 (c)(3) organization supplementing tax-based funding for the exclusive benefit of the Library.

  • Present.

Led by a Board of Directors representing the city of Rocky River’s business and community leaders, the Foundation now holds and manages close to $400,000 in donated assets. The Board supports the Library’s mission and vision through fundraising, serving as advocates for the Library, and assisting with special events.

  • Mission.

The Mission of the Rocky River Public Library Foundation is to support and enhance the Library’s goal of exemplary service, collections, programs and facilities beyond the level made possible by public funding.
